1.    How do I make a Reservation?

First, check the Availability Calendar to make sure that the house is available on the dates you would like to reserve. Next, use the Reservation Request form to notify us that you would like us to reserve the house. After we receive your request, we will send you a rental agreement that indicates the total costs. After you sign and return the rental agreement then we will block out those dates on the Availability Calendar.

2.    Will I need a four wheel drive vehicle?

A four wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended during the snow season (November through March) when visiting the Deep Creek Lake area. The drive way to the house is a little bit steep but constructed of asphalt and gravel to maximize traction. It is plowed for snow regularly by a local contractor.

3.    Is the boat dock available year round?

No. The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) require that the dock be removed from the lake from December 1 through April 1. The dock will be pulled out sometime in November and put back sometime in April.

4.    How far away is the boat dock?

The boat dock is located about 120 feet directly in front of the house. To access the dock you will need to walk down the driveway and cross Garrett Highway. 

5.    What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring linens (bed sheets, pillow cases, bath towels, hand towels, kitchen towels, and wash cloths), bath toiletries, detergents, and kindling for starting fires in the wood burning fire place. A limited quantity of disposable products such as toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels are supplied to make it through your first day. There are several grocery stores in the area for purchasing these items, or you may want to plan ahead and bring them with you.

6.    Why is there an extra charge for Linens?

A quality linen service to accommodate ten guests adds a significant cost and are sometimes unreliable. We want to provide a worry free and affordable place to stay for our guests, whether they are a family of four staying an extended weekend, or a party of ten staying an entire week. 

8.    What do I do with the trash?

The trash should always be bagged and placed in the animal proof bin. This bin should remain by the street (at the end of the driveway) at all times.

9.    Are pets allowed?

Yes, pets are allowed for an additional fee. You must clean up after your pet in the house and in the yard. Do not leave your pet unattended while you are away. Extra cleaning fees may be held from your security deposit if there is excessive hair in the house, or if your pet soils the carpeting, bedding, or furniture.
